Sudeep Chitlangia

Executive Chairman

With over 35 years of experience in the plywood industry, Mr. Sudeep Chitlangia brings deep expertise in production, marketing, procurement, and overall operations. Appointed Managing Director in 1993 and now serving as Chairman, he plays a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and ensuring a culture of strong governance and ethical leadership.

His in-depth understanding of the industry, coupled with a forward-thinking approach, has been instrumental in Duroply’s transformation into a nationally recognised brand, with certifications such as FSC®, ISO 9001/14001, OHSAS 18001, and CARB, reflecting his commitment to sustainability and quality excellence.

His academic journey began at La Martiniere for Boys, Kolkata, and continued with graduation from Bhowanipore Education Society College, Kolkata. This foundation laid the groundwork for a career defined by innovation and operational excellence.

Mr. Chitlangia is actively engaged in various industry and community initiatives. He currently serves as a Committee Member of the Merchant Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kolkata, and a Committee Member of the Bharat Chamber of Commerce. He is also a Vice President of the Friends of Tribal Society (Kolkata Chapter). He has contributed to national standards through his role on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Committee for Panel Products and has served two terms on the board of the Indian Plywood Industries Research and Training Institute (IPIRTI).

Outside the boardroom, Mr. Chitlangia is an ardent sportsman, with a deep passion for golf. He has not only pursued the sport with dedication but has also represented India in international tournaments. In recent years, he has also developed a keen interest in pickleball, appreciating its agility and strategic gameplay. For him, sports are more than leisure—they represent discipline, focus, and the continuous pursuit of excellence.
